Tour details

Picking you up from your hotel very early, we will embark on our journey by transportation to the starting point of the hike. Once at km 82, where our trek begins, we will pass through a control point that will take only a few minutes. Then, we will start a steady trek of about 4 hours to reach the lunch spot, prepared by our fellow porters. We will continue at a comfortable pace to reach our first campsite in Wallabamba, where we will have our tea time and dinner.

We will wake you up at 4:30 am with a cup of coca tea, have breakfast, and continue our trek. This day is the longest but not impossible. In Llulluchapampa, we will have lunch, providing us with energy to reach the highest point, the Warmiwañusca pass at 4,215 meters above sea level (Dead Woman’s Pass). From there, we will descend to our campsite in Pacaymayo. Resting with a cup of tea in the midst of nature is priceless. We will have dinner and then rest.

Once again, our fellow porters will greet us with a cup of coca tea, and they will guide us to have breakfast. With renewed energy, we set out to continue exploring, encountering various archaeological sites along the way. We will reach Chaquiqocha for lunch and continue along the Inca Trail to our last campsite at Wiñaywayna.

Finally, the much-anticipated day to arrive at Machu Picchu on foot, just as the Incas did. We will depart very early to pass through a final checkpoint. Before reaching Machu Picchu, we will pass through the famous Sun Gate, from where Machu Picchu can already be appreciated. In Machu Picchu, we will have a guided tour of this incredible place. At the end of the tour, the guide will provide the last instructions for our return to Cusco.
